Adding new sections to the forum

How Do You Know When It’s Time to Add (or Remove) a Section?

Do you wait until your membership demands it, or do you wait until you see more of a specific topic or a lack of existing topics?

How do you go about this?
 
Personally, I don't think I'd have to wait for a member to demand for me to add or remove a section. As long as I'm actively engaging in the forum discussion, I'll see when new topics being made need to have their own designated section and do the needful immediately.
 
I like to keep it small at first and even dwindle it down further as we go but occasionally, I will ask for feedback to see what everyone thinks and if they have new suggestions.
