Setting posting Goals to encourage posting??

I also added some posting goals to the user's drop-down box.
I added for now 5 posts in a day
and 30 posts in a month.

Do this really encourage users to post to meet those goals?

I always get paranoid that I’m posting too much and sometimes delete posts, depending on the forum. Having a counter like that is a great idea.

I love this idea to be honest.

I think it's good for the community.

I might have to steal the idea but also do some giveaways if we reach our monthly goals. Feel free to steal that idea, too! :D
 
I have seen those goals in other forums, there must be an addon for that. I just made mine and put it right into the user's drop-down with a template modification.
 
I think a drop down menu like that with posting goals would help the members to know when they are slacking on posting and encourage them to sit up. However, it only works on a forum that there are loyal members.
 
I haven’t done this because I don't know of phpbb has any addon for this feature but I have seen this on many forums and I believe it encourages members to post more
