Do you think all webmasters should learn PHP?

@~ True Legend ~ I know. I remember when node.js was coming out, I started to learn it, I actually paid for courses, I bought books about Python, Java, but my mind was about to blow up. I remember telling myself, I just need to learn to code a little to put my ideas up, later I hire experts...

Do you create/own multiple forums in the same niche?

I don't know how you guys can make it with so many forums. Running one it's a lot of work, I can't imagine 3-9 forums. I may open another forum for one of my companies, but it's a different niche. I still have some months to think about it.

    Encouraging unique content across Communities

I really don't like to see the same content/thread posted in different forums (even if the forum is not mine) I lose respect for those users. It's a sign of lack of authenticity, I see it disrespectful towards the forum and its members. I see that as a lazy act.

What kind of forum admin are you?

I haven't hit the ban button not even once. I haven't had the need for it. But I like to press buttons if I get into that job position :) I like to keep some rules very strictly and I am lay down with other that are not so important. Example, having more than one account on my forum is a...

    Development Environment

I don't use windows since Windows Me. :) I am very happy with Linux :) I use Sublime Text, FileZilla, MySQL Workbench. That's basically it. And I update/upgrade the websites live. Not too much complicated things. Simple and straight to the point.

    Members who post a lot.

I don't find a good reason to ban a user for too much posting. The only logical reason if the posts were not good at all. I have actually removed(not banned) inactive accounts, but never the active ones.

Do you allow competing forum links?

More than competing, I see it as collaboration. No, I don't mind "competing" links.

    Problem Member to Staff Member

Second chances are a good thing. People also need a lapse of time to make some changes. If too soon, that person would probably repeat the mistake. I acted in a childish manner with @Cedric about a year ago, I did apologize and he was cool about it. Thank you man!

Do you have passive income tactics on your forum?

Well, passive income is a mayor focus on my forum, but not only for me as the forum owner, but also to all users as well. The main passive income tactic I use is by setting up subscriptions and sharing 50% recurring commissions with users for referrals to join the community and any other...

Do you think people can make a living with forums?

I have not done it yet, but I strongly believe it is possible to make any amount with a forum. Managing a forum is not just managing a piece of software, there are really real life skills that needs to be learned and also money invested like in any real business. Creating services, products...

    Paying for members and posts

I didn't have the chance to use postloop when it was around, but I see the importance in using paid posting services, specially if the forum is new or inactive. I consider paid posting services should be used constantly until the community reach the benefits of network effect. But it all...

    What did you code last?

I definitively need to customize it. I just put it up as it came out and I was eager to show how it works (proving the concept) Later I plan to integrate some cool stuff into the user's profiles using the data of that board. Right now I am making some webhooks to send/receive alerts to users...

    Forum Staff Requirements

One of my first employers, Javier Elizabeth, taught me this when I was 18. Thanks to that perspective, I’ve had countless opportunities in most places I've been.
