    Was looking at buying XF site back from friend.. but

    Uncrowned Guard is a guy I know that have been using Invision way back even before Cedric started using it. His two forums - Uncrowned Gaming and Uncrowned Addiction uses it. Aragon Burner started using it newly for his Paranormal forum and Elseb who runs a Ps5SmackDown forum uses it at well.

    Yeah, I've been using it on OTF once in a while whenever it gets interesting. Although, I would have preferred it to be carried out in a thread in a forum not on the chat box because in most cases, the conversations on the chat box do not contribute to the total post or comment count in the forum.

    It's very unfortunate but I'm not really surprised they haven't done anything about it till now because just like their counterpart in forum software company with XenForo, there are so many features which users have complained and asked for an upgrade or introduction but the company never cares.

    Seriously, I think that there should be a dark and light option available for blogs the same way they are available for forums. I don't even understand why that's not available in the first place. I'm a fan of dark theme which is why I will always choose it first when I have the option available.

    I don't like the chat box feature in forums. I hardly use in most forums it's added. Most of the time, it feels like the chat box takes away the real discussion in the forum by having users focus on chatting instead of using the board.

    Personally, I hate the poor search functionality of most forum's softwares. As a result how poor those search systems are, it makes finding relevant discussions very hard. It's worst when you're dealing with a big forum with active users.

    I had same experience on VGR few years back. It was clearly obvious the forum owner had just ceremonial power because his older member who's also a mod was stepping on a lot of people but he couldn't do anything about it.

    Very correct! It was exactly my first response to this because that's why there a report button in every comment. Also, DM can equally be reported as well. If all these features are available, there's no need to create any spot for a secret admin. No one needs CIA in a forum lol.

    From the information I was able to find, LiveJournal is still active but it's ownership have moved to a Russian media company SUP Media in 2007. Currently, all their servers have also been moved to Russia with all the terms of service updated in accordance with Russian laws.
