    Failing at Blogging

Yeah, that's the aspect which some of those forum owners have been getting it wrong for a while. Without using the blog add on, it's just like a section where they dump blog articles without any serious benefits coming from it.

    Secret Admin

I think it's because there's no much relevance adopting such practice would have in forums now that makes forum owners never care about using it. The secret admin wouldn't even address an issue without being questioned by some members who feel he/she is overstepping.

    Secret Admin

I have never heard or seen any forum owner practice this but I don't think it's really necessary because even forum members wouldn't know a staff or mod is overseeing whatever they are doing for PM spam or whatever. Also, fellow members can report spams and it's taken care of. So, I don't see...

Do newbies get too much abuse?

Personally, I think it's the moderators of the forum failing to put the so called expert or old members in their place. If they can't help a newbie get up to speed on how to use the forum, they should STFU!

    Actively commenting on other blogs

I used to visit a movie blog by a guy called Hulk. I really enjoyed the blog so much because I'm a movie person. He ended up selling the blog which the new owner let it become a ruin. I was really pained.

    Failing at Blogging

It's why some forum owners now make provision for a blog section in their forum. It's like having a two fronts to their community in which blogs helps a lot with generating organic traffic.

Do you spend a lot of time on your forum?

Does it mean that you hardly post on your forum? If that's so, I think someone might feel that you're not putting in more efforts in adding a little bit of content unless you're getting lots of contents from your members.

Do you spend a lot of time on your forum?

It's expected that if you have the mind to start a forum project, you should make out time to be active on it everyday even if it's for just one hour. Personally, if I'm using a forum where the owner is usually absent most of the time, I'll definitely quit it.

Be getting ready to celebrate your first marriage anniversary mate. How fast time flies is unbelievable.

    Zoom Meetup?

Even though I'm not a forum owner or an admin currently apart from being a community manager in some forums, I wouldn't mind at all. We tried it once on Bizdustry when I was among the forum's Team Leaders. Although, I have this feeling most forums owners/users don't really like adding face to...

What social media sites do you like to use?

Facebook is currently my most used social media platform. Recently, I started helping a friend of mine to manage his page and we are doing very well. I also use Twitter/X but not as much as I make use of Facebook.

What is the best thing a teacher told you?

My teacher told me years ago that it's better to fail than to cheat and pass because cheating to pass would never allow me to go back and learn to acquire the knowledge. But if you fail, go back to learn, then come back and pass with flying colours.

    Do you have many friends?

I have a good number of people I can call my friends but I wouldn't say that they are my very close friends. It's about 3 or 4 persons I can say that are my very close friends or even best friends.

    Failing at Blogging

Definitely yes! I believe that I've failed woefully in being a blogger. I know that's because I never had the time to frequently publish contents and if you can't do that in your blog, it's dead as far as I'm concerned.

    Blog Banning

I have only had two blogs and they weren't so much active if I'm being very honest. Blogger was the first free software from Google I used to create my first Sports blog. I had a few visitors from time to time but none of them did anything that warrant a ban.

    Logging into your blog

If there's a lot of users following or subscribed to a blog and there's steady publication of interesting contents, such a blog will definitely have a lot of comments. There's a blogger here known as Linda Ikeji Blog, her blog is filled with so much engagement.

Are Niche Forums Dead in the Age of Reddit and Facebook Groups?

Exactly! Forums have just been doing a lot of catch up with social media platforms which is sad because it doesn't look like there's any chance of what's obtainable in forums to match what's available on social media sites.

    Logging into your blog

Most of the time, it's just logging in to keep up with everything that's happened on the blog when I was awake. I'm not always online which means that there are some things that would happen which needs my attention when I'm online. Those are the things I look out for when I'm back on.

    Like system for blog posts

Definitely yes, I think it's going to be a very good feature to be included in blogs. If developers can implement upvote/downvote systems in blogs just like we have on Reddit, it's going to be very impressive with blogs.

Are Niche Forums Dead in the Age of Reddit and Facebook Groups?

Unfortunately, what I've noticed happening is users jumping from one social media platform to another once they are fed up with the one they are using. With this pattern, social media platforms will always be ahead in the mix.
