I commonly use my hiking blog to promote my hiking forum. I'll use CTAs and other forms of promotion within it to get new members.
Usually, it gets me one or two here and there, pending how much readership the post gets.
Do any of you use this tactic to promote your forum at all?
Considering how blogging was a few years ago, how do you feel about it now?
Blogging used to be a big deal. Those of you who have been doing it for a while can probably remember when everyone had a blog. Remember when we'd add each other to our blogroll and submit to every blog directory...
Bloggers focus a lot on crafting headlines that stand out, capture people emotionally, and titles that create engagement bait.
Not click bait - engagement bait.
This is often done using copywriting. Copy is when you create content titles and text based on the pain points of your audience...
Do you have a blog or multiple blogs?
Post them here and show them to me! :)
Mine are:

My personal blog which I need to update more is:

I can usually write a blog post in a few days.
Day 1 is determining/researching the keyword, creating the outline, and putting it in my content calendar.
Day 2 is writing and editing. Usually takes about 3 hours to write (up to 5,000 words) and an hour to edit (thanks to Grammarly).
How about...
Do any of you use copywriting techniques on your blog?
If you do, what forms of copywriting do you use?
Do you find it to be helpful at all or can you not tell a difference?
I like blogging so much that I always get an urge to create new blogs about other subjects I like.
I guess writing is just a big part of my life.
But I stop myself because I know I'll just bite off more than I can chew.
Do any of you ever get these urges?
Do you write your blogs on the WordPress editor?
Or do you use a word processor to write it out first?
Or are you using your phone?
I'm interested in seeing what you all use!
I'm missing a day on my blogs.
My grandmother died this week, and we were very close.
I'm just not motivated to get things scheduled.
I think it's okay, It's not the end of the world. My blogs aren't going to suffer for it.
Is this something that happens to you at times?
Are any of you blogging?
If so, do you use your blog to drive membership to your forum at all?
If you are doing this, how are you going about doing it?
And is it working at all?
