10,000 Members

Who here has 10,000 members on their forum?

How long did it take you to get 10K members?

Did any of them come from acquiring other forums?

I'm currently at 15% of 10k. It's not much, but it's honest work. But in all honesty, I'm perfectly happy with how we are growing. It's still possible nowadays, but at a snails pace.

I agree it's still very possible but a lot slower than it used to be.

I remember I used to ask members to just refer one new person a day if they could and you'd see that number pretty quick.

It's more of a challenge these days but accomplishing that challenge makes us forum gurus, LOL.

Having 10,000 member's isn't real deal, but how many of that 10,000 members are actively posting in the community? I would rather have lesser members who are actively posting than too many members with only a few of contributing.

I'm currently sitting at 865 members. It's more than likely that I'll hit 1k-2k sometime in the spring, or earlier.

That's pretty much it...

Every forum I've seen with 10K members never has 10K active members.

I have a Facebook group with nearly 60,000 members, but in no way are 60,000 people actively talking in the group, LOL.
