Bad Forum Experience Resulting in New Forum

A few of my previous forums were the results of bad experiences at other related bigger forums that upset me.

Basically, I joined bigger forums and posted too much (as they said in the warning), and it made me start my own competing forum; as a result, to provide a community that didn't conform to their weird rules.

Have any of you ever done this or something similar before? Discuss it here.
