How often do you change hosting companies? What has to happen for you to change your hosting solution?

I haven't changed hosting companies in over 15 years. I've used DreamHost.com for many years because they have been very reliable and supportive when I need assistance. There have been a few hiccups with using them but they always had my back and corrected it. I don't get downtime that much but when I do, they always credit my account as well.

This post isn't meant to promote DreamHost. It's meant to show you why I choose to stay with them for so long.

If downtime significantly increased or they become not as supportive, it would likely make me consider making a move to another hosting service.

What would make you move to another host and how often have you done it and for what reasons?

Namecheap has one of the cheapest and hosting available with instant ongoing live chat and a massive support team. That’s why I pick namecheap.

By the way you should just add a affiliated link.

I’ve been using the same provider for about 6-10 months now. I was using Mddhosting for years, but their prices were a bit on the high side. I also managed to get a similar server with basically the same specs through Ushost247.

Both companies are solid and great. I’d recommend either or. I generally don’t change hosting providers unless the support is lackaluster or I find a better deal with quality specs.

Just becareful of those that over sell.

I’m well aware of. I’ve been buying servers since 2004. I’ve had dedicated servers, vps, shared servers and cloud servers. The hosting industry isn’t new to me.
No offence just a warm heads up.
