How engaged are your current forum members?

Engagement is best described as activity. A member who is engaging is a member who posts often on the forum and someone you can count on to reply to your topics and attempt a discussion. I find that @Cpvr and @Tracy are some of the most engaging members here on AAF because I will see their replies the most on the new content I have posted.

Engaging members help keep your forum active.

Taking the total membership of your community, what percentage do you think of your community is engaging on your community? How do you define engagement? To you, is it similar to mine definition or do you see it as something else?

It really depends on what the purpose of your site is.
Yes, I would LOVE for more to interact on my site. But I realized quickly that I was also designing it to be a resource for content and files for those in the niche... and that many (in fact most) of those utilizing that content would never interact with the site.
That fact is easy to see by the number of other sites that link to mine for several resources that I host locally that are no longer able to be found on the developers site since they went offline.
My site serves its purpose. But I'm not going to lie and say I would not be ecstatic if there was not more user interaction and that I have even contemplated restricting access to those resources to only active members... but then I come back to my senses and realize that was NOT the reason I originally started the site.

My other little sites... they could disappear tomorrow and I would not really miss them other than the fun I have of maintaining/administering them and the mail server used by them other than the Edge & Steel one... and I need to work on pushing more content on it and maybe opening it up wider from edged weapons to also more content involved the steel (and lead) aspect.
