What do you think about Discord?

Have you ever used it for a community solution?

What is stopping you from using it as a community now over a forum?
 
I dabbled with Discord briefly around 2016 or 2017 because some folks in one of my VB communities talked me into it. It wasn’t bad, exactly, but unlike traditional forums, it didn’t foster that tight-knit, community feel I was used to. Eventually everyone came back to old reliable VB.

Another downside of Discord was the influx of shady characters that dominated the platform after its initial boom—and there were plenty of them. Moderation wasn't their strong suit.
