When members on your forum post a new topic, do you make it an effort to reply to it?

Do you think forum owners should be doing this more?

Yes. It is important for a new forum that the owner reply to every new thread.Once the site is established with staff it is less important. The owner should stillmake his presence know.

I think it important to see non staff members contributing too at least imo

I reply to most topics on my forums. I don't reply to everything in our off topic sections. I only post in there when I'm bored.
I actually like that practice.

All the main niche topics are important and should be replied to. It encourages more to be made.

Off-topic...doesn't do much for the forum so reply whenever.

Personally, seeing only off topic posts in the latest posts gives me a negative impression of the content quality, or as if ppl just spam to increase post counts. So off topic posts above all else can actually undermine the forum imo

I think the off topic section helps with the community bonding aspect, but that’s just me.😉
Indeed as long as it’s not all just forum games as imo it can be seen as a way to boost post count

I try to reply as much as possible but some topics I just can't relate to or say anything of value, so I'll remain silent. But I've read it.
I wonder if AI can come into play for that issue....

Not to use it to create a reply but to use it to give you ideas of what to say in reply when you can't think of how you can resonate with the topic.

What do you think of that idea?

You could yes, but that kind of defeats the purpose. I'll admit that I've done it before, but it never felt genuine. As if I could barely remember what I said about it.

Not that I normally have such a good brain, I say a lot of stuff that I don't remember later. :ROFLMAO:

It is an assistant.

I know that we should use our brains instead but look at how you are now versus how you were in the late 90s/early 2000s. You do way more. I bet you do.

We do too much now to fully take advantage of our brain.
