Do you have a favorite individual in forum software development?

If yes, why? What have they done to get your favoritism?

I'd say SMF was my favorite when it came to free open-source forum software.

MyBB could have been my favorite, but they never really seemed to modernize.

For me.. currently Discourse. I like NodeBB, but for some reason I am really starting to like Discourse for a discussion community.
When you compare either NodeBB or Discourse to Xenforo, Woltlab, Invision or vBulletin you quickly see how stuck in the "oldy/golden" age they are compared to those more progressive scripts - when referencing a discussion area.
