Forum Restructuring

Howdy friends,

I'm happy to announce that I have restructured the forums, once again.

More is NOT Better
As you can see, many boards are now gone. No topics/posts were deleted, though. I simply merged boards together to make less sections.

Less looks better. Less is more user friendly. Less is easier to moderate. Less is better.

I've added prefixes to sections that needed it. Please consider a plan to start using them today and forward if you'd like to help keep things organized a little better.

I hope you all like the changes and I hope navigating AAF is a little easier.

Prefixes are the strong point of Xenforo. They are so much better than "tags".
The sad thing is they still remain as not easily discoverable content.
And I make extensive use of them on the astro site.

Personally, I think the main category is a bit too long for my liking. But that's just me.

I liked it before but should check out this onxy theme for mybb and look how they made the forum smaller but categories was a nice amount.

I like how the categories are links to bring up a different section of the forum being on the same page.

Remember this too crawlers picks up links for forums so the more site indexing on categories will help Topics out in the long run. Depending on categories names.

So like this the crawlers comes in starting the search at the top then go through all links at the top till they get down to the category itself, then the crawlers if Xenforo is coded like this it will pick category-node/forum/description/ then the topics in that category and node/forum.

Yeah, I pretty much took the idea from how you do it plus less boards do make a forum look a little more active.

That's a nice-looking theme for MyBB. I wish MyBB would had modernized. I really think they could had easily been the leader of free forum platforms.
