Ever used free hosting to self-host a forum before?

What free hosting service did you use? How long did you use it?

Was it ever problematic for you?

I haven’t used any free hosting providers before. I prefer to self host and own my license.

I've used them in the past.

000webhost used to be a popular one, but I felt they were always pretty ba,d but you got what you paid for = nothing lol

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used a free website hosting provider before, but I’ve never used a free forum hosting provider. I actually used Freewebs for a while back in the day before I ended up launching VPL. Freewebs was awesome. I also remember Geocities, though I didn’t use it, but it was pretty popular. There’s actually something similar to it now—Neocities.
