How often do you get sick?

Does it seem to be increasing as you age?

errr... yeah.
As your body ages stuff that it basically ignored when you were younger becomes more apparent.
That is simply a core fact of getting older.
We are never as "snappish" as we were 10 years ago, and any that claim otherwise are usually lyiing.
This is even more apparent as we age and complain of various aches and pains.

I've been battling stomach issues with IBS-C and GERD for a while now. I have to watch what I eat.

I don't usually get sick often but I always suffer diarrhoea at least once in a week.

My stomach is a big mess when it comes to rejecting some food.

Since this year, I've only been to the hospital once for myself but I've taken my daughter 3x for check up and treatment. The last time we went to the hospital, she had cold. I didn't want to take any chances giving her home treatment.

I went to the doctor once this year. The other day. Got on some medicine for my sinus issues but other than that, clean bill of health. Won't be back until this time next year. This keeps my insurance premiums down.

I've been seeing a lot of trending videos on YouTube and TikTok of how to use natural remedies like garlic for treating sinus infection.

Do you think that really works? Have you ever tried it?

Is that anything like taking Ivermectin horse paste from the local farm supply to treat COVID19? ;)

Just joshing.. there are many "old home remedies" that work in todays age. When my throat is sore, I'll happily fall back to the hot water/bourbon/honey/lemon juice solution. it works due to the various ingredients being effective and I don't have to use man-made concotions.
We used to have a willow tree in our back hard and I'd frequently use the bark to make a tea instead of taking aspirin. There are many folk remedies that are very valid still.... and are a part of survivalist training.

Home remedies are honesty my preferred choice of medication.

I'm paranoid about what I put into my body from so-called prescriptions and vaccines. I'm not anti-vax, I'm just suspicious.

My mother still uses that remedy for sore throat till date. I remember when we used to kids, she would use hot water/balm and steam us covered with a towel.

I've been using fermented garlic in honey and black seed oil for a while. It's very effective too.

Mom will always say being sick is a sign of being alive and a sign of growth as well. I always try to argue with her view but we all know mothers, lol.

Meanwhile, I don't fall sick often, say two times in a year.

I can go for two years without getting sick. I exercise a whole lot and I am very mindful of my diet. If I have slight headaches, it is just a result of stress and nothing more. That only always takes an hour of sleep to go away.
