Getting the police involved

It will most likely have something to do with the algorithms because they are what decides what comes to your feeds or not.
It's important that they do that, though.

I was asking ChatGPT about some things I needed to do over my father's death and the response ended with resources for me in case I was having a hard time taking it including the suicide number (988) for my area.

I didn't ever mention wanting to die but I guess it just wanted to make sure I had all the info I needed.

For the record, I definitely want to keep living but I am having hard time with it. That's grief.

We all grief in a different way. I can remember feeling the same way when my grandma passed away in 2022. The kind of grief I passed through had me so devastated because of how close I was with her.

You're going to be alright man.

I definitely will be.

Death is a part of life.

There is nothing we can do to stop it.
💯% agreed.

It's a debt each and everyone of us owe which must be paid in full.

I only ask God to let my loved ones and myself to grow old.

That's all you can really do at the end of the day, no matter what things you do to try to prolong it -- God makes that final decision.
Yeah, that's just it. Although, old age do comes with a lot of health challenges but most of them are usually as a result of what we eat and probably the lifestyle one had when being younger.

I’ve never had to involve the police in anything forum or blog related because I haven't experienced such by myself but I’ve seen cases where admins called for a welfare check when someone posted something alarming. If someone’s safety is on the line, I think involving the authorities is the right move.
For anything less serious, I probably wouldn’t take it that far, but in life-or-death situations, it’s better to act than ignore it.

Going an extra mile to look out for your community members is admirable and it's a gesture that's going to make them truly feel like they are in the right place. A lot of people are hurting out there in so many ways, an act of kindness and support means so much.

I've not had this experience of getting police involved in my forum, but to be honest, this is something that I should consider doing once there is a threat to life and the offender is serious about it.

I will have to get the police involved also when a user begins to talk about harming the people living near his home as a result of what they have done to him. Once it gets to the point where I am sure that it is not a common joke, calling the police to track and investigate the person is the right thing to do.

Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more. Even small acts of kindness and support can make a huge difference for someone who’s struggling. Looking out for your community not only helps members feel valued but it also builds a stronger, more connected space for everyone.
