When it comes to purchasing ads to promote your forum, which ads have been more successful for you?

Google ads?

Or ads from a social media platform?

I voted for Google ads even though I have never used Google ads to promote forums. I have used Social Media ads and I have not benefit by running ads for my forum on social media. In my opinion, the people who use social media and those who use forums are different kinds of people, they have different interest and they have different habits when it comes to creating and consuming content.
