Is there a more universally disappointing sound than a spoon clattering loudly into an empty sink? It’s the sound of a small mission failing. Followed by the sigh of having to wash it anyway.

Yes, a piece of bread or a cookie with jam that falls and always lands on the side where you put the jam or jam, I think that's the most frustrating and disappointing sound of all.
