Do you think forums or blogs should emulate social media in terms of utilizing the infinite scrolling capability?

This would say goodbye to pagination. Member would just keep scrolling down to load up new content. You'd have to relocate any footer links or credits most likely.

This is a very modern and common practice among many popular websites.

Why would you do it or why wouldn't you?

Good question, I wouldn't know the answer. It's possible, but it's not. I think it would have to be tested to see if it would be functional, but above all, comfortable for users.

I'm sure it's very possible but it might work better with a more modern forum interface rather than the ones we're used to.
