Making a best friend on your forum

Have you ever made a best friend on a forum you run?

I'm talking about someone you talk to off the forum. Someone you have phoned. Maybe even met in real life. Someone who is such a good friend that your immediate family knows who they are.

Has this happened to you on one of your forums?

My friend has been telling me about forums for a while and I am glad that I've finally joined. This is someone that I know from the area where I am staying. If that counts as making friends on the Forum, then I can say that I've made one.

I have had some talks with people that I saw on different forums, but the talks stayed at that. None of them has gone beyond what we talked about in the public space. I don't have any of them that I can say is my best friend whom I have seen in real life.

I've not had a friend that I can say we got too close since I started posting on forums. I like to keep things that happened online there. I don't even have lots of offline friends as I want to just stay on my own and the reason is because of the betrayals that I've had in the past from those that I called my friends.

I won't want to have such an experience again.
