Moderators must post

If one accepts to be a moderator on a forum, they are obliged to contribute around tbr forum. They must not post everyday. But they must make sure that their presence is felt around the forum through their contents.

Moderators should lead by example by always posting content across the board. That is one of the silent requirements of being a mod. You don't need the forum admin to remind you about that.
There's no reason why any staff member shouldn't be posting on the forum. Even an Admin staff member should also post and not because they are part of the Admin team, they should be excluded from posting. All hands must be on deck with posting.

Content is king and what better way to show such than the staff members being active. That is a good way to let the members of the community see the need to engage in discussions happening on the forum.

From being a moderator in some forums in the past, I do post sometimes but it’s never been forced by the forum owners. I think encouraging moderators to participate is fine, as long as it’s not pressure, because it helps keep the forum active without causing stress.

In my opinion, one of the rules guiding being a moderator means that you have to post.

That is the way that you get to become active in the position. If as a moderator, you are not posting on the forum, what example are you setting for other members on the forum?
