My dad suddenly passed away about 3 days ago. I'll be more active soon and get the FotM contest squared away. I've had to do a lot with little time to grieve. I'll be back soon, folks.
Ah Shawn, that is very unfortunate news. My condolences to you and the family. All the best. Take the time you need of course. AAF isn't running away, we'll be here.
Condolences.
Both my parents have been gone for over a decade. I am part of the "second group" of kids, with my older siblings being 12-14 years older than me (one passed already).
So I didn't have them around for as long as I would have liked even though they passed in their 80's.
There is no "quick" answer to the grief of a parents passing. I still find myself either doing something that I used to do with one of them or fixing something to eat that we both enjoyed and the grief will show up even now. It's a natural part of getting "better".
