Paid Posting: Good or Bad Idea?

Is paid posting a forum growth hack or a long-term trust killer?

Paid posting is a great way to get fresh content on a new forum or one struggling to attract new activity from its current members. However, some people feel that if members realized people were being paid to post, it would seem unreal, or they might be mad because they didn't earn any money for their posts.

What do you think about all this? Is paid posting a good thing or a bad thing?

It is a good idea. But the main problem is quality content. I have worked with a lot of paid posters and most of the posts are just average posts,. in terms of writing and idea. I have seen the same user post the same content on half dozen forums. So, paid posting is creating nothing for duplicate content. If you can get someone who is very good, it will benefit you. When you have quality content, you not only get organic traffic but also engagement.

Paid posting isn’t bad, but it can turn messy sometimes. I tried it once for a small forum and the engagement felt dry. They have the views but vibes were absolutely zero.
