Do you think forum admins should focus more on search traffic to grow their forum or community loyalty to grow their community?

I'm getting a lot of traffic and my blog posts are getting lots of views on my platform. But non are engaging or signing up sadly. I'm writing a blog just about every day now.

I voted on community loyalty though because if my platform did hit off that is where it really counts and makes your site seem more legitimized through the means of multiple engagements, thus also it increases your traffic as well since people make share and spread the word of your community. Maybe offer incentives to people who are willing to share your thoughts on the platform.

Are people commenting on your blog by chance?

If they are, turn your comments off and post a topic on your forum that links to the blog post with maybe a quote of the post on the forum and then welcome comments there.

Put on your blog, to comment, go to the forum :)

Hmm not a bad idea! But sadly no comments. The places where I share my blog posts they reply there instead LOL.

I always leave a note at the footer with something like "if this resonates with you and want to get involved with us, sign up is free and you get cool perks" stuff like that.

I am a huge SEO buff, and my life sort of revolves around content marketing and how to drive more traffic from Google.

And then use the same content to drive revenue on the website.

It's basically what I do for a living, so I would say focus on search traffic but don't neglect community loyalty as a way to boost user engagement.

If you do SEO correctly, you will attract more of the right target audience and grow your forum.

And with the right content and funnels, you can convert these mere readers into paying customers. Or anything you want, really.

So, search traffic to grow forum membership and community loyalty to boost user engagement.
