Spammers are getting smarter (or at least trying)

No disrespect to Joel but some of the topics there just don't fit the niche.

I know he buys out forums and merges them in but I'd might be more selective on what I push over.

That's just my opinion, though.

It's as a result of all the merger. Where I have an issue is the spams especially those linking whatever they're trying to promote without being stopped or the posts edited. I wish a few staff would have mod access to assist on that. Maybe I'll speak with him on that on AJ Discord.

I'd move all the acquired topics to a hidden section.

Then I'd start moving threads on an individual basis.

When I gave AAF 1.0 to The Sandman YEARS ago, that's how he did it. Thousands and thousands of topics. But not all of them were that good to post.

Doing this is definitely going to work because I've seen it done before on Bizdustry after USHost247 forum was merged with it. Although, it required a lot of staffs hands on deck to successfully move all the threads as quickly as possible.

I wouldn't even get into a big hurry with it.

Use that content to push new daily content each day.

Good for those times when you lose ideas.

If it's a one man job, trying to rushing it will burn you out too quick. Back then in Bizdustry, we had about 8 active staff members. The manpower to move them fast was there.

It definitely works out better when you have a big dedicated team.

I will bring that tool further to the top on my list then. Next week I will have more time to sit down and do coding...

Yes, moderators should be busy assisting good members, not with bots or scammers/spammers

I mean it is not easy to see moderators just busy focusing on detecting and handling spammers when the time should have been better used in handling any assistance requested by the great members of the forum. That is one of the reasons I will be very happy if you become successful in building a tool that would help in handling cases of spammers once and for all.
