Username Changes

How do you feel about username changes on your forum?

Do you let members freely change their username at will and with no restrictions? Why or why not?

Is there any reason not to allow username changes?

Should username changes be transparent? Meaning, should they be announced?

A person's username on a forum is their personal brand in a forum and a stable identity is always necessary. I am not against username changes in a forum but it should be limited.

I won't mind letting members change their usernames on my forum. The only thing that I will do is make it be in a way that I must be the one that can approve such request when it is made and as far as the reason given is legit, there is no problem at all with me as the owner.

Username changes shouldn't be allowed by administrators of forums unless on rare occasions. As long as I am concerned, anyone joining a forum should decide which name that they should think of using and stick to it.

I will surely allow username changes on my forum. It can be one of the reasons to let people join my community because they have the permits to make such changes.

I feel that making it so that one can make one username in 2 months makes more sense.
