What are forums missing?

Thinking about forums in general, what are they missing?

What key benefit or feature would make forums better?

How would your idea benefit all forum admins, or is it just an answer to your forum's needs?

The biggest challenge that forums have now is being able to generate revenue and share same with users. Social media is all monetized. And for forums to be able to get much energy, there must be a way to generate revenue for forums so that they can monetize user engagement.
