Forum Signature Advertising: Text or Banners?

When using forum signatures on other forums to advertise your forum, how do you display the signature?

Do you use text or a banner? Or do you use both?

Since I only use text banners on the sites I only use text in signatures.

I have used images in the past.

All I've ever used was text links myself. I'm not good at creating banners.

I'm always fortunate to have a selection of beautiful graphics, from small ones to larger ones. I tend to shake up things and use different images on different forums.

I really don't like to see banners in signatures. Even if they are as beautiful as @Cedric says. it's like you are forcing me to watch TV. I hate it lol....
I mean, I find it disturbing (it's just me, my opinion)

Not really a solution, If I could take only your banner would be awesome. But I like to click on user's signatures. They put it for a reason, they want to show something to the
world, and I may end up liking it.

Actually, you gave me an idea. Making a little extension to remove banners from signatures I can do that in about 20 minutes I love you @Cedric every day you bring value to my life
