Staff members under the age of 18

I asked about members under the age of 18. Some of us don't allow it while others do allow it.

So, for those of you who do allow it: Do you also allow under 18 members to be staff members on your forum?

I've heard some forum owners who wouldn't allow it because of the maturity level of teenagers in handling difficult situations. Would you agree or disagree?

I'd love to see what everyone thinks about this issue!

It's like shooting yourself in the leg having an 18 years to even be your staff member and not to talk about someone under 18. Yes, an 18 year old is categorically an adult but their reasoning and level of human management is still very under developed which is why I can't risk it with them. I'll have my staff members from at least 25 years up.

My personal observation is that someone who's very serious with being useful in his or her life would have matured very well and mentally at the age of 25 years up. I wouldn't entrust anything serious to someone below the age of 25 for any reason whatsoever.

I almost see anyone under 35 as being kids these days.

Just because 20-something years old today act entirely different than the 20-something year olds of the past.

Most of them don't move out of the parents' house until they're pushing 30.
